Biography:
Debbie Sharman, MSc, FRCPodM, FFPM RCPS (Glasg), is a highly distinguished Consultant Podiatrist specializing in diabetic foot care and currently serves as the Professional Lead for Podiatry at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. With extensive clinical experience in high-risk diabetic foot management, she is widely recognized for her expertise in prevention, early intervention, and limb-salvage strategies. Debbie is an active Visiting Lecturer at the University of Southampton, where she contributes to the education and development of future podiatry professionals. She also serves on the Executive Committee of Foot in Diabetes UK (FDUK), playing an influential role in shaping national guidelines, promoting best practices, and advancing multidisciplinary approaches to diabetic foot health. An accomplished author and contributor to peer-reviewed publications, Debbie is committed to improving outcomes for people living with diabetes through evidence-based practice, professional leadership, and national advocacy.
